Szombaton játszottuk le a 2019-es U17 bajnokság első mérkőzését.
A Budapest Eagles csapatát fogadtuk a börcsi sporttelepen, 15 órai kezdettel. A mérkőzés összefoglalója az utánpótlás vezetőedzőjétől, Andres Fernandez-től:
U17-es csapatunk lassan kezdett. 12 pontos hátrányba kerültünk a meccs elején, az első negyed után azonban felébredtünk. Polgár Martin kiváló visszahordása előkészítette Jahn Máté 45 yardos TD-ját. A következő támadósorozatot nagyon kedvező mezőnypozícióból kezdhettük. Néhány first down után Czéhmester Máté 30 yardos TD passzal találta meg Keresztes Kevét. Jahn Máté értékesítette a két pontos kísérletet így 14-12 volt a félidőben. A második félidőt ismét előnyös helyzetből kezdhettük Polgár Martin visszahordása után. A drive végén Czéhmester Máté 10 yardos futással szerzett TD-t. (20-12) A harmadik negyedet szintén egy Czéhmester Máté futott TD zárta (26-12). Az utolsó TD-t Polgár Martin szállította egy rövid elkapás után futott 50 yarddal. 34-12 (0-12, 14-0, 12-0, 8-0) a végeredmény, jó kezdete volt a szezonnak a srácok keményen játszottak és küzdöttek végig.

The team started off slow. Falling 12 points in the first. But after the first quarter the team woke up and started to get on the board. First with a great return from Polgar Martin to set up a 45 yard rushing TD by Jahn Mate. On the next drive of the second Quarter the offense was set up with great field position. After a few first downs Czehmester Mate connected with Keresztes Keve for a 30 yards TD pass. Jahn Mate would score the 2 point conversion making it 14-12. In the second half, the offense was set up again with great field position due to a great return from Polgar Martin. On the first drive of the 3rd Quarter, Czehmester Mate ran the ball in for a 10 yard TD Run. Making the score 21-12. On the last drive of the 3rd Quarter Czehmester Mate ran the ball again for a 30 yard TD run. Making the score 26-12. The final TD came in the 4th Quarter on a 50 yard catch and run from Polgar Martin making the score 34-12 (0-12, 14-0, 12-0, 8-0) after a success 2 point attempt. Overall it was a good season opening win. The kids played hard and battled tough.
